From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I am extremely concerned that in this age of political correctness, governmental abuse of power, out of control spending, and looming massive taxation needed to pay for legislation that is directly against the will of the people without their consensu. We are confronting a "George Orwell" situation where "Our" government squelches free speech. The infighting of our government has trumped the votes of "We the People"! Our politicians are voting under the pressure of the President and the individual party leaders with total disregard of their constituancy. This civil disrest did not come about because of the internet and electronic communication. It came about because our government doesn't care what "We" want. And now they are trying to shut off all lines of communication that relay information against "Government Vision". All of these issues only further the civil unrest and lack of trust. It is the government who is promoting fear and discontent in a way I never could have believed would happen in the United States of America. Please consider that our government is doing their best to "shackle" the voice of the people...and tax them for their opinions.
