From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
I can't believe that the United States would EVER consider taxing free speech. It is apparent that the country has been hijacked and the Constitution has been thrown away. I am discouraged and appalled at the government's intervention into every aspect of the lives of the American people. Whether it be the internet, free speech, private business, the financial markets etc. etc. And how ironic that the tax being considered is due to "conservative" free speech? We are the new "communist" country in the global arena. Would someone PLEASE stand up for the American Constitution and the values we as American's used to hold so dearly? True journalism in the "print" media ( and mainstream media as well) was lost years ago. The problem isn't the internet. It is the fact that journalism became a mouthpiece for the Democratic party (and liberalism) and threw away it's impartial, report the "facts only" approach. Contrary to the liberal journalist's opinion, the American people are NOT stupid! They understand propaganda when they read it or hear it. Hence the demise of most mainstream media vehicles!! Due to that demise, we are now seeing our government taking over the media via taxing "free speech". Truly the "Fall of the American Republic" is upon us thanks to the liberals (aka Communists) now running the country! Please withhold personal information from my comment. As for the comment itself, I have no problems with that being part of the public record. Truth is truth!!!
