From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
Dear FTZC, Journalism is not the same as newspapers. I haven't subscribed to a newspaper in 15 years. I turned off my cable TV 3 years ago. My news comes from the internet, when I want it (15 minutes per day?), and I can go to 4 different websites to read different angles on the same stories -- websites often acknowledge their biases, and the debate is more spirited and informative than a pretending-to-be-neutral newspaper offers. Newspapers should fail, if they can not stay in business. Don't bail out another failure -- GM, Chrysler, banks, and unemployed people are already sucking away too much. Quit subsidizing failure.
