From Town Criers to Bloggers: How Will Journalism Survive the Internet Age?
News media companies and organizations are subject to the same market forces as any other business. If these organizations are unable to adapt to changes in society and technology they should be allowed to fail the same as any other business would be allowed to fail. It is inappropriate for the government of the United States of America to interfere in areas that are the province of free speech protected under the Constitution. Inevitably the government we end up shaping the speech that is produced by media organizations.
