When is someone going to wake up in congress and say, "maybe we need to start looking at alternative solutions to our rising fuel costs". Maybe when gas hits $8-10.00 a gallon they might then finally realize there's a problem. Apparently at this point they don't see that, or if they do nothing is being done about it. I am getting tired of these oil companies brag every year about their record breaking profits which comes directly from our pockets. How can this be allowed to happen? As my family suffers financial difficulties with rising fuel as well as food costs sky rocketing. Why is it that Afganistan is paying about .45 per gallon and Holland at $12.00 per gallon. At least Holland is smart in the sense that they realized they needed to do something different. More that half that country drives hydrogen powered vehicles. All the power to them, they weren't going to be victims. Why do we keep putting the kabash on some of the best alternatives out there? Maybe it's because there's no money in it for congress or the major oil companies. I believe the only way these alternatives would be allowed in our country is if the oil companies somehow had their hand in it. Why do we have China drilling only 50 miles off our coast and Mexico in the Gulf and then buying that oil, that should be rightfully ours? Sorry but that makes no sense to me. We live in a great country and you would think that we would come together as a nation and work together for alternatives so the average American families don't suffer terrible financial hardships. Maybe American's need to fight for this. But no, we sit back and watch the financial gain of others through price gauging. Why is this not regulated like everything else seems to be? Please!!!!!!! when is something going to change???? Maybe when were all so financially strapped and the economy just falls apart. It's already happening!!!!!!!!!
