Prohibitions On Market Manipulation and False Information in Subtitle B of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

I recently read an article on the website and am glad to hear FTC is not afraid of the oil companies. I think myself the oil companies have to have inside help to get away with price gouging. I watched the program where the oil companies were questioned they sidestepped pretty easily. Saying they used to make $.10 a gallon now they make $.04 a gallon. I think of two things there sales have doubled in ten years and the dollar amount they are making. The United States was not bullied against Phillip Morris and they regulate insurance companies. I think this act of gouging is urgent because it is going to create a violent problem with the economy that can not be repaired. A good suggestion would be to make Iraq pay our expenses for the war in oil. Then play the oil companies own game with creating to much oil than they will drop there prices to a reasonable dollar amount. This will also make the importers drop there costs. Also to make sure the domestic oil companies are at full capacity and meet all safety standards. Maybe we will not get another excuse to drive prices up like a fire or some other reason. Could this create an Armageddon? Thanks, Gary
