Prohibitions On Market Manipulation and False Information in Subtitle B of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

When the TV news stations announce the price of crude oil per barrel, the gas prices at the pump in this town will then rise anywhere from 4 to 10 cents a day!! We are also seeing a rise in the price of groceries, electricity, fuel oil, natural gas, tolls, college tuition. For many who are making minimum wage the basics needed to live and get to work (in order to live) are becoming unattainable. There is a possibility that the fuel tax will be dropped for the summer to encourage travel & tourism. Is that really a logical "green" solution? And how is that going to help out the poor and middle class when winter comes and we have to heat our homes. We are also wondering if the price of gas will drop to reflex the tax saved or will the price remain high (without being taxed) just to continue to put money in the pockets of Mobile, Exxon, the speculators etc. Congress needs to listen to the people and not the Lobbies, Unions, and Big Oil interests. Please direct Congress to fund more research into energy saving cars, biofuels, Wind & Solar power and bring these products to market faster to help end our dependence on Foreign oil. Thank you for your help because without resolution to this oil crisis, we are going to be in a recession for a lot longer than the previously predicted by our policy makers.
