Prohibitions On Market Manipulation and False Information in Subtitle B of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

I don't know much about the stock market, the economy or how most governments are ran. But, I do have enough common sense to question the dramatic increase in gas prices. I wonder why we are told that there is a greater demand even with the introduction of Ethanol and hybrid vehicles and with more and more numbers of people cutting back. I wonder why an oil company can show a quarter profit of 76 BILLION dollars and it's practices not questioned. I wonder why an astounding increase in China's oil use should affect the people of the United States. I understand you are looking for SOLUTIONS. Again, I'm just an ordinary person who doesn't know the details of a lot of things, but my solutions seem fairly simple. Take care of the people of the United States. Limit the volume of exported oil. Place a cap on oil company profits. Ensure that our top government officials are not profiting from supporting the oil companies. I think supporting just ONE of my solutions would have a positive impact on our economy. Thank you for allowing our input on such an important matter!
