Prohibitions On Market Manipulation and False Information in Subtitle B of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007

I feel that prices are being manipulated by OPEC. We, as a country, should strive to be energy independent from Arab nations and unfriendly governments that practically hold us hostage and take advantage of our high consumption of oil. We should develop alternative sources of energy by providing tax incentives and financing to those companies willing to do it. I do not believe that fuel-price regulation is the answer to our problems. The answer is in the development of alternative sources of energy. We should drill for oil in Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, etc. The environmentalists that oppose it should be more conscious to the fact that we need to drill for oil and that human beings are more important than the birds and animal species. In a few years from now, the birds are going to be alive and we are going to be dead.
