My comments are as follows, - Platinum/Base Metal Jewelry SHOULD NOT be allowed to use the term platinum. - The Current FTC Proposal is unworkable in terms of realistic transactional implementation and would be extremely confusing to consumers. - The Current FTC Proposal is not at all in conjunction with any of our current or past industry standards. This would be resetting our standards in an unreasonable fashion and degree. - I highly recommend that the FTC consider a new and different term or name for jewelry comprised of platinum and base metals, such as platinum alloy. Please consider a term that has realistic usage in retail transactions. For further comment, please contact me at . David Hevia Owner of 2 Jewelry Stores
