I support the FTC proposed changes to the implementation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule. The COPPA Rule was adopted in 2000 to create a safer Internet experience for children, but the online environment has changed dramatically over the past ten years, while the COPPA Rule has never been updated. The proposed changes can provide important safeguards protecting children from the technologies and techniques that advertisers use to identify, track, and target children online and on mobile devices. I support these changes to empower parents to keep their children safe,
