Our society is plagued by the commercialization of our everyday existence. Adults are hard pressed to withstand the rigors of the market, so children are even more vulnerable to the materialism and drive to acquire. Please do not dilute the proposed changes to the COPPA rule. Take a stand for the betterment of our society rather than contributing to the devolution that permeates so much of our environment from the media all around us. As a toy meant to promote socialization, Webkinz is a travesty that represents nothing positive for our children's development. Turning out younger and younger humans addicted to technology will not benefit anyone except the profit margins of the inhumane corporate world. And that's just one of many offending forces out to sell sell sell.
