Statement of Policy Regarding Communications in Connection with Collection of a Decedent’s Debt, Project No. P104806

Just please let common sense prevail. There seems to be a huge vacuum where common sense should be in government today. Garnishments or attachments should only be allowed to government payments such as tax refunds. A percentage at least of unsecured debt should be disallowed. If insurance has been purchased on a debt(some creditors offer this and many borrowers pay for this), then the insurance should pay the debt off with no further demand from survivors or executors. I should be paramount that a special time limit be placed on the ability to collect the debt as well. Somewhere in the 60 to 90 day range. Thank You
