Dear Sir or Madam, I wish to express my concern regarding the FTC's decision to make a Professional Wet Cleaning label optional, but not mandatory. I believe wet cleaning, when done properly, cleans fabrics just as well, if not better than traditional dry cleaning methods. Since the process does not leave harsh chemical residue as traditional dry cleaning, it is easier on the skin, which is important for individuals with sensitive skin. There is still a perception that wet cleaning cannot be used on clothing, and that must be changed. Making a wet cleaning label mandatory will help inform the public about this method.
