I am very concerned about the privacy rights that are going to be usurped by this technology. If one stops to think of this as another form of fingerprinting then one may start to understand the invasion. We only fingerprint criminals (and certain other select individuals). If the technology is used only to sense feelings or determine age for targeted marketing, I feel this is an invasion of privacy at one level (shopper cards should also be outlawed- there is NO valid justification for them, except collecting data, which I do not wish to hand over). If it is used where ANY information is saved it has beyond question violated my rights. Even if data is not tied to a name it is a violation of privacy. There is room for abuse, and no room should be allowed. For example the state of Virginia is doing what I consider unconstitutional in using facial recognition on their drivers liscenses. Again, if we had been asked to hand over finger prints to get a liscnese then people would have been up in arms!!! What is the next step- having to hand over DNA? Privacy RIGHTS are the one and only concern here. Just because we CAN do something does not mean we SHOULD do something.
