I ran across this link on social media and was asked to share thoughts on it. So here goes nothing, I don t steal computers so I don t want to be spied on. If however I did or if I lost my computer or it became stolen I sure would like it. Last year, I lost my iPhone (actually it was stolen) and Apple tracked it and located it for me. So I can see why rental stores would want to do the same thing. As long as I m not breaking my rental contract then they should NOT be able to monitor my computer. But after that, then it s their computer so why can t they Actually, I get a 10 day grace period before it is considered stolen, but after that I m fine with it. Now for the bad news, starting this month I lost my discount for agreeing to have the software installed. This really pisses me off and is going to have to cause me to return some items. $20 a month may not sound like a lot to you, but for me and my family it is a lot. It seems strange to me that I was perfectly happy with my lease contract before you entered into the picture. You could have cleared things up making sure I understood what I agreed to and that I was fully informed. In which case I would have said yup, and you d moved on and I d still have my $20. It s a shame that you did NOT allow me to make that decision as an adult for myself.
