The government should not be restricting freedom of speech of any kind, or in any way. Government "suggestions" about what should and should not be said are as inappropriate as actual laws: since the government has power over us in so many ways, one cannot assume that ignoring a "suggestion" will be without consequence. It does not matter that this initiative is intended to help children. That does not excuse infringements of freedom of speech. Further, the care of children is the job of their parents, not the government. Any precedent, no matter how small, that says that government has responsibility over children, other than protecting their rights, is a dangerous step that should not be taken.
