It seems to be increasing that CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart, Target and others are using Reward Programs and/or special pricing coupled with coupons. I'd say for the most part unless you are at the store on the day the sale begins, products are not available. They seem to meet the rule of having some, but never enough for the sale period. They blame it on couponers wiping them out, but I've seen where they'll have a great offer, but less than a few items available. Rainchecks are a joke, as if there are Reward dollars with the sale item, seldom will they give you a true rain check amount. They often will say no rain checks, just check back later in the week. By the time you go a couple of times to check back, what ever the savings was it has been used up. I would far rather have them just price the products appropriately and give up all the gimmicks, coupons and rewards.
