FTC Seeks Input for Revising Its Guidance to Businesses About Online Advertising, FTC Matter No. P114506

I hate to admit it but was scammed by Quicken Loans. Have been trying for a year to get Wells Fargo to assist my wife and I with our mortgage. I became disabled and started collecting Social Security Disability in August 2010 and then Retirement began in October 2010. Our income was reduced by 70%+. My wife is also handicapped. I got spooked and contacted Quicken. They were great and helpful until they got my $500.00 deposit. They then began asking for information not related to the loan (personal stuff) and requested I close-out one of my credit cards. I got suspicious, but it was too late. They hid the non-refundable comments deep in the web page. I got a rejection today saying they had gotten poor credit from a company called CredStar (probably owned by them). My credit was 725 last week and my wife's was 723. Put the Bunco Squad on these guys. they're getting rich off "old fools" like me (probably some young ones too).
