The last question (30) would be crazy to think about. It would be absurd that Congress would enact nutritional quality or marketing guidelines into law. These companies have the freedom to advertise and market their products however they please. I believe it would cause a slippery slope into all sorts of issues. I believe all these company have the right to make their products anyway they want. The answer to all the questions about how all these products affect the children of this country is real simple....Parents. Parents have all the guidelines they need for what they believe their children can and cannot have. Children don't have the power to buy any of the products marketed towards them, the parents do. They have the final say at the end of the day what is best for their children. I believe Companies also don't have and don't need to have the responsibility to the public to make current products healthier. The only job the company has is to make that product. Many companies are already self-regulated without having someone else come in and give them guidelines. There are many products available as an alternative option already if the parent would like a healthier option for their child. Self-regulation starts and ends at the home and with the parent. Changes to the formulas of products or to the methods of advertising to children no matter what age group will have no changing impact on the problems kids are facing today with weight and health issues. Those changes will only come from parents being parents, not a company or form of government. Thank you for taking the time out to read my comments on this issue.
