Proposed Consent Agreement In the Matter Legacy Learning Systems, Inc., et al, File No. 1023055

Hello, I purchased the "Learn to Paint DVDs" series from Legacy Learning Systems this December. I read a number of reviews of various DVD based painting courses before purchasing (I like to do lots of research.) Since I purchased the course, I'm not sure I agree with all the positive reviews. In addition to very bad customer service (I paid for 2 day shipping, but I didn't get the item in the mail until almost 15 days later) I don't find the course nearly as good as all the "reviews" suggested. Upon learning that this company is getting in trouble for fake "reviews" I'm not surprised. I don't think what they have done is right at all, and I think they should be prevented from doing so in the future. To be honest, however, I'm not sure why the FTC is getting $250,000 of this. Shouldn't this amount be used to refund customers defrauded by this company's advertising? I AM NOT going to officially complain if Legacy Learning Systems is only going to be paying the FTC. I will complain officially, however, IF the money is going to be distributed to defrauded customers. For further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. Alden Dale [redacted]
