The claim that methanol will save petroleum is a lie since more petroleum is being used to produce and distribute the methanol than the ten percent it saves. This is an act of a corrupted republic. In addition, the methanol harms engines in which it is used since it enleans the fuel/air mixture. Even the EPA says so: "In motorcycles and nonroad products [using E15 and higher ethanol blends], EPA raised engine-failure concerns from overheating." In addition to motorcycles being damaged, the same occurs with all small engines such as law machinery and outboard boat motors.
