Dear FTC, Since the FTC's prior review of the garment care label over a decade ago, the dry cleaning industry has made tremendous advancements and changes. Although many are still afraid to let go of the comforts of their solvents, it appears undeniable that Professional Wet Cleaning is here to stay. The role of the FTC is to protect the consumers from deceptive and misleading practices by other entities. Not mandating a Professional Wet Cleaning Label on garments would certainly lead to such practices. I hope that the FTC will be a decisive leader in its responsibilities rather than trail behind, trying to keep up with damage control years after changes in the industry have taken place. Thank you.
