Announcement of Public Workshop, "Examining Health Care Competition" ("Health Care Workshop") Project No. P13-1207
The discussion which I am most concerned about regards the right for unlicensed healthcare professionals to practice. I firmly believe that certified (unlicensed) professionals practicing nutritional therapy bring a rich source of information and support to the public who seeks support through diet. Restricting practice to only registered dieticians will increase healthcare cost to the public by limiting the amount of practitioners and above all I feel will be a detriment by only bringing one nutritional perspective on how to heal through diet which may not be the correct route for all people. I feel the best choice is to allow FREEDOM of choice to the American public who can themselves decide which kind of practitioner will support them best whether a registered dietician or a certified nutritional therapist or other unlicensed practitioner. Thank you for listening to my strong request to continue allowing FREEDOM OF CHOICE to the American public.
