Re: Trans Union Corporation
FTC Docket No. 9255
Dear Mr. Longtin:
The Division of Enforcement staff has reviewed your submissions dated October 23 and December 21, 2001, which you have filed to show the manner and form of Trans Union's compliance with the order referenced above issued on February 10, 2000, and upheld by the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia on April 13, 2001.
The staff has concluded, on the assumption that the information submitted is accurate and complete, that no compliance action is indicated at this time. We will not be precluded, however, from recommending to the Commission an appropriate action if the submitted information is inaccurate or incomplete or if Trans Union violates the terms of the order. You will be advised of the General Counsel's determinations concerning Trans Union's request for confidential treatment of certain documents by separate letter.
Sincerely,
Elaine D. Kolish
Associate Director for Enforcement
