Comments:
The purchase of the long empty Wild Oats storefront by Trader Joe's would be a welcome addition to southern Maine, and help fill a void in the availability of reasonably priced gourmet foods. Many of us travel to Massachusetts to shop at Trader Joe's - a store closer to home would be much more convenient. The items I purchase at Whole Foods are entirely different than those I purchase at Trader Joe's, so I do not see that there will be much of a competition between the two. This is a long waited opportunity for Mainers, I strongly encourage the FTC to approve this sale.
