Comments:
While I do not like unsolicited, blanket-style telemarketing calls, this rule would block valuable and useful information from organizations that I already do business with. I find that automated, tailored information to confirm appointments, communicate important notices (e.g. those from my bank or credit card companies, doctors and hospitals) are preferable to a live call because they are usually more to the point and allow me to respond and react more quickly on the same call. Giving written consent for automated messages to each organization that I do business with or need to hear from (e.g. for urgent notices, emergency communication) would be a big burden on my time and tough to manage.
