I feel that receiving pre recorded notification or offers from companies that I already have a business relationship with helpful. I choose who I do business with because of their high standards. If a company that I have a relationship with wants me to know about a new product or service I trust that it is something that I need to consider. This ruling would prevent these companies from reaching out to me in an effective fashion. Here is an example, when my Cell phone contract runs out I want to know. I know that there is a better plan for the same or better price. Getting a message from my mobile carrier telling me about the new plans and rates is great. If something peaks my interest being able to transfer to a representative that can sign me up is just the icing on the cake. I can tell you how many time I have forgotten to purchase and accessory for a big purchase. For instance….. I recently bought an new computer with a printer. I forgot to order a cable. If the company I bought the computer from had a cost effective way to reach out to me and see if all is well I would tell them I need a printer cable. Problem solved. This ruling will prevent calls like this from happening. I don’t like it. I should not have to give written consent to get theses calls. If I do not want the call I hang up. It is easier for me to hang up on a recording than a person. There is not guilt involved that way. Please reconsider you ruling. Regards, Jared Richmond
