I find it benefitial to recieve interactive notifications from companies I already do buisiness with. Requiring a written consent seems to me an ineffecient requirement. An oral indication should be sufficient. I have recieved notification from businesses of promotional offers, reminder of a payment and appointments which I found benefitial. Without the early warning I most assuredly would have missed my appointments.
