I am opposed to all telemarketing calls made to my home. I believe that it is time the government protect me from invasions by private parties into my home. Whether they be physical or electronic, they are invasions nonetheless. Phone solicitation and fax solicitation of any type is an unwelcome act of theft of my most precious commodity...time. Fax solicitations constitute as theft of paper as well, which I have to pay for. I am a tax-paying citizen. Please help me preserve what little time I have away from work and what little money I have that I consider disposable income. I would never purchase anything offered to me without my direct initiation. Many of these calls prey on the elderly and unsophisticated members of our society who are also taxpayers and should be protected! Privacy in the 21st century is a fleeting concept and sadly, one that will never truly be restored in the USA. Please take this one small step to allow US citizens at least the illusion of privacy in our homes.
