It is really annoying to receive those 'dead air' phone calls and the pre-recorded calls at the office. We are a place of business and do not have time for such useless junk! My home answering machine has been 'bombarded' by such calls and its such a pain to listen to. Half the time the pre-recorded messages are done by someone who sounds like they are just learning English and is very hard to understand. This has got to stop.
