Do Not Call Registry - hmmm - sounded like a grand idea. I am a firm believer in the "If I want to buy something - from protector plans to airplanes - I will bloody well figure out who to call when I want to buy it". I see no reason in the world that companies should be able to call me up at any time of day or night - including weekends (yes, Sunday) - and robotically say please hold the line for an important message, or it is important that you call this number today - or this is Sears - and remember that vacuum cleaner you bought 5 years ago (the one that only worked until the warranty was over? Well, surely you want to buy another one now. Give it up - I shudder every time my phone rings - I plugged all the numbers into the Do Not Call debacle - what a lie - where is my right to bear arms when these telemarketers call and call and call...really where is my right to privacy?
