I am terribly distressed to hear that pre-recorded telephone ads/messages may be permitted on phones which have the do not call attached to them. It is particularly difficult to receive such calls when one is elderly and makes efforts to get to the phone in a timely manner only to find that it is some kind of unwanted soliciation. Recorded soliciatations are worse because there is no human individual to talk to. Please do not allow this travesty to go forward. We signed up on the do not call list for a reason. We already are subject to large amounts of spam which waste countless hours of e-mail clean up while using the computer. Pre-recorded phone calls are phone spam. What is the logic to allowing this intrusion and disturbance of the peace to enter our private homes? Thank you.
