Comments:
The FTC should prohibit prerecorded telemarketing calls entirely. I as a consumer consider prerecorded telemarketing sales calls and other unsolicited telephone calls abusive to my privacy rights. The FTC's should also prohibit sales calls which are abandoned, resulting in the annoying dead air calls which end in Beep! Beep!. I do not want to be subject to prerecorded sales calls or annoying abandoned calls, for that matter any unsolicited telephone calls including political parties or anyone conducting surveys by phone. The FTC should require that when any such call is received that the receiver could have the ability to push a number on the keypad to stop the call and at the same time alert the caller that the person they called does not want them to call again.
