I am writing to express my disagreement with this proposal. I believe strongly that it is in my best interests as a consumer to receive important automated messages from companies that I already have a relationship with. Whether it be my financial institution, my utility or my health care provider, i find it useful to receive messages when certain events arise (i.e. i forgot to pay a bill) or also when a new offer might exist where I could save money or get better service. The requirement for me to give written consent seems very unnecessary, especially if I could unsubscribe with the push of a button. Please do not limit my ability to stay close to the companies that provide me with good service.
