This ruling will significantly effect small newspapers with limited staff that have come to rely on this technology. The technology help to save time and resource. also customer service will suffer. newspaper use this technology to comunicate with thier customers such as expiration reminders and start verification. most subscribers do not view calls from their local newspaper as an invasion of privacy. in most cases we get a thank you or glad you called because it saved then from having an interruption in their service.
