As a consumer, I like getting updates on new services available from my cable company or special offers from my wireless company. What I don't like is sales attempts from companies I've never heard of or having my number sold to some directory. You should focus on that problem, instead of making it more difficult for my chosen companies to contact me using this sort of technology.
