As a consumer, I like getting reminders from businesses I deal with to refill my prescriptions, have my car serviced or let me know when I have a doctor appointment. I think the provision to have me sign a document to allow these type of calls is an unnecessary burden on me and the businesses I deal with. What I don't like is getting spam from companies I've never heard of or having my number sold to some directory. You should focus on that problem, instead of making it more difficult or even impossible for me to continue to enjoy valuable phone services.
