Concerning your ruling to prohibiting telemarketing with pre-recorded voice messages: As a consumer, I recieve many automated voice messages and whilst some of them are annoying, blast telemarketing ones, others are of great value to me. Under the broad definition you have announced I can't see how you differentiate between the two. I like my airline to offer me upgrade incentives; I want to know more about my medication alternatives. This ruling would stop all of that and that hurts me, the consumer you're trying to protect. It also made me think about the consequences. Not only is this a valuable service, but it must be very cost effective for the people servicing my needs. Isn't that good for them too? and indeed our economy? I think so. Please take this into consideration; find a way that permits responsible automated messsaging.
