I strongly support the proposed amendment to the TSR. Although there may be benefits to owners of IVR machines in that such calls could increase sales, there is little or no benefit and considerable "annoyance cost" to recipients of such calls. The presumption is that recipients are not capable of investigating markets to purchase items on their own. The use of IVR machines is an intrusion and increase in their use will decrease quality of life and increase costs associated with interruption of home and work life.
