Comments:
I strongly support this proposed telemarketing sales rule. Businesses should not be able to use the fact that they have a pre-existing relationship with a consumer to deliver recorded messages. There is some concern among businesses that 'informational' messages would be banned, but it seems clear to me that this rule is clear that only sales calls are banned, and that companies should not be able to sneak in a sales pitch or upsell on the claim that they are delivering information.
