Comments:I am emailing in response to the FTC trying to shut down debt relief programs. I am a personal user of such a program. 2 yrs. ago, my family due to legal & health reasons, had a huge decrease in income. We never missed payments but became proactive in spite of seriously not wanting to do anything other than be responsible for our debt. We went through a program in Dallas, Tx. after looking at many programs. We were so hopeful after reading the info & speaking to someone who advised us with info about the program. It has not been easy but the alternative, bankruptcy or no responsiblity whatsoever, was not really an option. We are almost through with all of our debt but it has been through hard work & sacrifice that it happened. I know that there have been many people going through the same experiences & I can truly say, that the company that we worked with, did what they said & truly has made a huge difference in our lives & outlook for our future. We are, like many Americans, having to learn the very hard way, to deal with consequences of our credit habits! We no longer use credit cards but spend what we have & spend only what we have! Thank you for the opportunity to share our story. Please know that this has been a harsh experience but one that we have learned with the help of a debt relief company. Again, thank you.
