Comments:I used a debt settlement company, Debt Regret, and it provided a VERY VALUABLE benefit to me during a time of extreme financial crisis I was end. If it was not for them, i'm not sure if I would have ever been able to rebuild my credit. I was struggling to pay for credit card bills after my wife had got laid-off from her job. We were down to one income trying to pay on a home mortgage as well as credit cards which had high balances because we had to use them more often (due to just having one income). Eventually we were drowning in debt and I really didn't know how to get out of it. I even considered filing for bankruptcy until I started hearing about debt settlement. I checked with a few companies and then found the one I was happy with which was Debt Regret. They explained their program, their costs, and a plan showing me when I would be out of debt. I joined them and about 1.5 years later I was out of debt. My cards were all settled on average at about 50% of the amount due. Debt Regret handled all the settlement negotiations that left me worry free throughout this ordeal. I appreciated their professionalism and they were very genuine. I ask that you do not regulate debt settlement out of business because the company I used, Debt Regret, really provided a valuable benefit.
