PLEASE NO!!! If there is one thing I dislike more than telemarketers calling me at home, it's computerized telemarketing! I must attempt to impress upon the commission - it has been so NICE, peaceful even, to answer the phone lately and have it be a friend! I do not miss the early morning solicitations, when I had to try to explain that I was leaving for work. I do not miss the calls during dinner. Or later in the evening during homework, or later even, during a movie or washing my child's hair! Get to the phone at all costs, only to be told the vinyl siding crew would be in your area the following week. The times those darn calls would come in! I would get 3-5 calls a week during the evening hours, and several more hang-up calls recorded during the day while I was at work. When my son started school, I had my home calls forwarded to my cell phone, in case there was an emergency at school and they needed me quickly. After a few months, I went to the school and changed all the records to list my cell phone number first. That was because I would get 5-8 telemarketing calls forwarded to my cell phone in a week's time. It was maddening! It has been a blessing since the DO NOT CALL registry became effective. Now the phone rings a lot less, and when it does, it's for me. I do not want to see this wonderful protection of my peace, quiet and privacy go downhill. I don't want my private life solicited by either a human OR an articulate computer. It's not the solicitation that's the factor - it's the interruption. Period. Thank You, Jill Zazeski
