The proposal will only serve to increase annoying calls. Please do not start undoing the excellent do not call rule by making this change. Now, when I receive a call from a company with which I do business, I can ask that they not call me again. I can then be placed on that company's do not call list. I cannot ask a prerecorded message to stop calling me. The public interest, as opposed to the private interest of certain corporations, cannot possibly be served by adopting this proposal.
