Comments:
The proposal is only an attempt at getting around the Do Not Call registry. The public comments the petitioner has made in support of the petition echoes the completely discredited comments the telemarketing industry made before the Do Not Call registry was established, namely that people actually want these obnoxious calls. As far as getting the FCC definitions and the FTC definitions in sync, tightening the FCC definition is more in keeping with the intent of the Do Not Call registry. Please do not weaken the current rules for the registry!
