I am absolutely opposed to the proposed rules change that would allow telemarketers to bother me with automatic calling machines. The loopholes in the Do Not Call Registry are already bad enough. The worst offender is the phone company, who calls constantly. I wound up purchasing an answering machine just so I wouldn't have to answer the phone. But, there are times when I am expecting a call from someone, and have to answer the phone. Sure enough, there is the phone company trying to sell me some alleged service that I repeatedly have told them I am not interested in. I do not want automatic machines calling me. I don't want anyone calling me. This is my home, and I want to be left alone.
