As related to my Congressman, I also wish to voice my opposition to the subject, propose exemption that will allow pre-recorded telemarketing to occur. The no-call list and its large number of participants is proof positive that we consumers do not want this unsolicited contact. Moreover, I am concerned that the FTC is not protecting us by allowing this practice as regulated. Furthermore, I am worried that consumers like myself will get more calls! I urge the FTC to reinforce the Federal abuse requirement of the existing Telemarketing and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act. __Submitted on 1/10/05...by Robert Takash.
