I am strongly opposed to allowing more "automated calls". These are a major intrusion. Even with the do-not-call list, these then are used for political uses, non-profits, and companies we have "done business with" (which sadly includes all sorts of tricks and scams where they have your information). With a voice caller, they are less likely to waste their time when they know you are not interested, but they have no such qualms with automated calls (which often ring back if you hang up on the message). So, I ask that the FTC not change its rules. The FCC is wrong to allow this and the FTC should not lessen its protection of consumers. Thanks, paul
