As a consumer it is very distressing to receive unwanted solicitation from companies. The calls interupt my life and usually they are during times when we are home trying to have family time. I have signed up on the no call lists and I have been grateful that so far I have not received any phone calls. If I want to know information about a new offer or company I can look it up on the internet. It is a waste of the consumers time to receive phone calls when consumers know how to get the information. This idea of a prerecorded message is also very distressing because most of us lead very busy lives and do not have the time to call each company and be placed on hold for forty-five minutes to say do not ever call me again and since it is up to the company to determine whether or not you are placed on the do not call list you will most likely be receiving phone calls four months down the line from that company again. I used to work for a company that did phone call solicitation and I know how they work. This program is a very bad idea and a waste of a consumers time.
